CVE-2026-97499 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-28 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: coresight: perf: Retrieve path and source from event data ETM perf callbacks currently use the per-CPU csdev_src pointer, which can race with updates during device registration and unregistration. The AUX setup already builds and stores the path in the event data. Use this path to retrieve the source instead of csdev_src to avoid the race. Export coresight_get_source() and add etm_event_get_ctxt_path() to retrieve the context's path and its source with READ_ONCE() / WRITE_ONCE() accessors. Give the comments to explain why this approach is safe when pause or resume callbacks preempt the disable callback (e.g. via NMI).
CVE-2026-13742 1 Honeywell Technologies 1 Iq Multiaccess 2026-09-27 N/A
Honeywell IQ MultiAccess, all versions prior to and including version 28, contain an improper digital signature verification vulnerability. An attacker could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to the replacement of downloaded file with a malicious one. Honeywell also recommends updating to the most recent version of this product, service, or offering [V27 SP1, V28 SP1]
CVE-2026-100713 1 Froxlor 1 Froxlor 2026-09-26 7.8 High
Froxlor 2.3.10 and earlier contain a time-of-check time-of-use (TOCTOU) race condition in the SSH key synchronization cron (lib/Froxlor/Cron/System/SshKeys.php, SshKeys::generateFiles). The containment/symlink validation performed by FileDir::makeCorrectDir()/makeCorrectFile() is done only at check time; the live filesystem path is re-resolved as root at write time (file_put_contents with FILE_APPEND|LOCK_EX, followed by chmod/chown/chgrp), with a database round-trip and file reads in between, and no path or file-descriptor pinning (no O_NOFOLLOW or openat2(RESOLVE_NO_SYMLINKS)). On installations where the non-default setting system.allow_customer_shell=1 grants customers local shell access, a customer can atomically swap their ~/.ssh directory for a symlink after the check and before the write, causing the root-run cron to append the customer's public key to /root/.ssh/authorized_keys and to chown /root/.ssh to the customer, resulting in full root compromise of the panel host. The cron re-runs on every interval, allowing unlimited attempts. This is a residual race that bypasses the check-time fix introduced for GHSA-mq5v-... . The issue is fixed in Froxlor 2.3.12.
CVE-2026-98050 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlxsw: spectrum_ptp: Fix napi_gro_receive() call from GC workqueue context Currently mlxsw_sp1_ptp_ht_gc_collect() is run from the PTP garbage-collection workqueue, rather than the NAPI poll context. For any unmatched PTP entries carrying an SKB, it calls mlxsw_sp1_ptp_unmatched_finish() -> mlxsw_sp1_ptp_packet_finish(). For ingress packets, this calls mlxsw_sp_rx_listener_no_mark_func(). The end of that function is the following: skb->protocol = eth_type_trans(skb, skb->dev); napi_gro_receive(mlxsw_skb_cb(skb)->rx_md_info.napi, skb); The napi pointer is one that was placed in the SKB control block when the trapped packet was received in the NAPI context. Later, when the GC reaps the unmatched entry (up to MLXSW_SP1_PTP_HT_GC_TIMEOUT later), the call to napi_gro_receive() mutates the NAPI instance's GRO list, which is unsafe if the poll is running concurrently on another CPU. In mlxsw_sp1_ptp_ht_gc_collect(), local_bh_disable() is called to prevent softirq processing, but this only applies to the local CPU. Additionally, its comment is stale. It states that mlxsw_sp1_ptp_unmatched_finish() invokes netif_receive_skb(). This has not been accurate since the referenced commit; this patch makes that comment accurate again. mlxsw_pci_napi_devs_init() calls netif_threaded_enable() on the NAPI RX net_device without any conditions. The NAPI instance's poll, which may be running concurrent to the GC, is running as an independently-scheduled kthread which may be on a different CPU. The call to local_bh_disable() does not guard against this. If a tx-timestamp timeout produces an unmatched entry (which can be easily reproduced by running ptp4l and waiting for a port to reach the UNCALIBRATED/SLAVE state) while the owning NAPI thread is in the middle of a poll on another CPU, both sides mutate the GRO list concurrently, as shown below: [39.846] port 1 (swp1): MASTER to UNCALIBRATED on RS_SLAVE list_add corruption. next->prev should be prev (ffff8d620faf4138), but was ffff8d624150f700. RX stats accounting and the skb->dev assignment are still preserved; the only change is the delivery call itself. This removes GR ---truncated---
CVE-2026-93220 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Keep kick_sync waiting on the rq's own CPU kick_sync_wait_bal_cb() assumes it runs on the rq's CPU from the __schedule() tail: the snapshots it compares against live in that CPU's percpu area and the busy-wait runs with the rq lock dropped and IRQs enabled. However, dispatch can now drop the rq lock while the callback sits queued, and rq lock takers in that window (the sched class change paths, the scx task iterator) flush pending balance callbacks on release, running the callback on a foreign CPU. Such a run compares against unrelated snapshots and can deadlock when the executing CPU is itself a wait target. Bail on a foreign CPU and leave the wait state alone. The wait only observes progress that the resched kicks already guarantee and the rq's next wait picks up the stale cpus_to_sync bits.
CVE-2026-93216 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/page_owner: use memcg_data snapshot to avoid TOCTOU in print_page_owner_memcg() print_page_owner_memcg() reads page->memcg_data via READ_ONCE() at the start to guard against tail pages and NULL data. However, it later re-reads page->memcg_data locklessly in two places: 1: page_memcg_check(page) 2: PageMemcgKmem(page) (via folio_memcg_kmem(), which includes VM_BUG_ON assertions for tail pages and MEMCG_DATA_OBJEXTS) If the page is concurrently freed and reallocated as a THP tail page or slab page between these calls, the VM_BUG_ON assertions can trigger on CONFIG_DEBUG_VM=y builds, crashing the kernel. Fix both TOCTOU issues by using the memcg_data snapshot throughout.
CVE-2026-97527 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Serialize NVMe unsol ctx list with a per-fcport lock The fcport->unsol_ctx_head list is modified from several contexts without a common lock. Entries are added in qla2xxx_process_purls_iocb() from the response queue ISR (under the qpair qp_lock), while they are removed from qla2xxx_process_purls_pkt() (DPC/purex worker), qla_nvme_xmt_ls_rsp() (NVMe-FC transport callback) and qla_nvme_release_lsrsp_cmd_kref() (SRB completion). The qpair qp_lock cannot serialize this per-fcport list since multiqueue adapters add entries through different qpairs, so a concurrent add and delete (or two concurrent deletes) can corrupt the list pointers. Introduce a dedicated per-fcport spinlock, unsol_ctx_lock, initialized in qla2x00_alloc_fcport(), and take it around every list_add_tail()/list_del() on unsol_ctx_head. The add nests under the existing qp_lock; no delete path takes qp_lock, so the lock order is consistent and deadlock free.
CVE-2026-93218 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/huge_memory: skip device-private PMDs in madvise_free_huge_pmd madvise_free_pte_range() checks pmd_trans_huge(*pmd) unlocked, then madvise_free_huge_pmd() takes pmd_trans_huge_lock(). pmd_is_huge() returns true for a device-private PMD, so orig_pmd can be device-private and enter the !pmd_present() branch. Skip device-private PMDs in that non-present branch and continue to out before calling pmd_folio(). Downgrade the check to VM_WARN_ON_ONCE() so an unexpected PMD softleaf logs a warning rather than panicking. Drop the thp_migration_supported() guard: it expands to IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_ARCH_SUPPORTS_PMD_SOFTLEAF), and both pmd_is_migration_entry() and pmd_is_device_private_entry() already return false when that config is not selected, so the guard suppresses only the case where the warning would already be silent. Potential trigger: an HMM-based GPU driver races with madvise(MADV_FREE): migrate_vma_pages() flips the PMD to a device-private entry between the caller's pmd_trans_huge() check and the callee's pmd_trans_huge_lock().
CVE-2026-93229 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-26 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: add missing read barrier to rpc_status_get dumpit seqcount retry The hand-rolled seqcount-like protocol in nfsd_nl_rpc_status_get_dumpit() is missing a read memory barrier (smp_rmb) before its second counter check. The standard kernel read_seqcount_retry() includes smp_rmb() to ensure that all data reads complete before the counter is re-checked. Without this barrier, on weakly-ordered architectures (ARM, POWER), the CPU may reorder field reads past the second counter check, making the retry logic ineffective: it could observe a consistent counter pair while reading fields that have been concurrently modified by the writer. Add smp_rmb() before the second counter check to order the field reads ahead of it, matching the barrier semantics of the standard seqcount read-side. The begin-side smp_load_acquire() already pairs with the smp_store_release() in nfsd_dispatch(); with the smp_rmb() now ordering the field reads, the retry check no longer needs acquire semantics and reads the counter with a plain READ_ONCE(), as read_seqcount_retry() does. [ cel: Use READ_ONCE instead of smp_load_acquire() ]

CVE-2026-77633 1 Cloudreve 1 Cloudreve 2026-09-26 7.1 High
Cloudreve is a self-hosted file management and sharing system. Prior to 4.18.0, PrepareUpload in pkg/filemanager/fs/dbfs/upload.go checks a stale in-memory user storage value through validateUserCapacity and later applies an unconditional storage charge outside the same quota-enforcing transaction. An authenticated user with Files.Write permission can issue concurrent upload-session requests that read the same capacity snapshot, all pass the MaxStorage check, and reserve their declared sizes through CommitWithStorageDiff. The resulting reservations can exceed the account quota and can be materialized as chunked uploads that exhaust host storage and deny uploads to other users. The default local-storage policy and default User group are affected. This issue is fixed in version 4.18.0.

CVE-2026-97925 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tick/broadcast: Plug clockevents replacement race 朱恺乾 reported and decoded the following race condition when a broadcast device is replaced: CPUA CPUB __tick_broadcast_oneshot_control() bc = tick_broadcast_device.evtdev; tick_install_broadcast_device(dev) clockevents_exchange_device(cur, dev) shutdown(cur); detach(cur); cur->handler = noop; tick_broadcast_device.evtdev = dev; tick_broadcast_set_event(bc, next_event); <- FAIL: arms a detached device. If the original broadcast device has a restricted interrupt affinity mask and the last CPU in that mask goes offline then the BUG() in tick_cleanup_dead_cpu() triggers because the clockevent device is not in detached state. The reason for this is that tick_install_broadcast_device() is not serialized vs. tick broadcast operations. The obvious cure is to serialize tick_install_broadcast_device() with tick_broadcast_lock against a concurrent tick broadcast operation. That requires to split clockevents_exchange_device() into two parts, one which does the exchange, shutdown and detach operation and the other which drops the module reference count. This is required because the module reference cannot be dropped while holding tick_broadcast_lock. Let clockevents_exchange_device() do both operations as before, but let the broadcast device code take the two step approach and do the device exchange under tick_broadcast_lock and drop the module reference count after releasing it.

CVE-2026-97960 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel: Prevent drain_pebs() reentry The PEBS buffer is shared by all events on a CPU, so drain_pebs() must not be reentered. If so, one instance may observe stale buffer state and potentially access out-of-bound memory. Most invocations happen in NMI context, which naturally prevents reentry. However, drain_pebs() is also reachable from process context via intel_pmu_drain_pebs_buffer(). In those paths, the PMU is often already disabled, but not guaranteed. For example, __intel_pmu_pebs_disable() only disables the target counter, so other active counters can still raise a PMI and interrupt an in-flight drain_pebs(). Here is an example, __perf_addr_filters_adjust() perf_event_stop() __perf_event_stop() x86_pmu_stop() (event->pmu->stop) intel_pmu_disable_event() intel_pmu_pebs_disable() __intel_pmu_pebs_disable() intel_pmu_drain_large_pebs() intel_pmu_drain_pebs_buffer() Introduce __intel_pmu_quiesce() and __intel_pmu_resume() helpers and use them in intel_pmu_drain_large_pebs() to disable the full PMU around the intel_pmu_drain_pebs_buffer() call, preventing reentry. Also add a warning in intel_pmu_drain_pebs_buffer() when the full PMU is not disabled.
CVE-2026-97578 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: verisilicon: rockchip: guard VPU981 AV1 divisor and tile buffer rockchip_vpu981_av1_dec_set_tile_info() divides context_update_tile_id by tile_info->tile_cols and writes one descriptor per tile into the tile_info DMA buffer, which holds AV1_MAX_TILES entries; tile_cols and tile_rows come from the bitstream. Guard the division against a zero tile_cols by initialising the context-update values to zero and computing them only when tile_cols is non-zero, and stop the descriptor writes once the tile_info buffer is full. The tile geometry written to the hardware registers is left unmodified; the per-dimension and total tile bounds are enforced by the control validation.
CVE-2026-97589 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/crypto: Fix wrong return code to engine in asynch callbacks When crypto_finalize_hash_request() or crypto_finalize_skcipher_request() explicitly completes a request, the do_one_request callback must return 0 to indicate successful handling. Returning a negative error code causes the crypto engine to assume the driver failed to take ownership and triggers a second completion via crypto_request_complete(), resulting in a double completion. This pattern occurs in paes_s390.c 4 times and once in phmac_s390.c. Fixed in phmac_do_one_request() and all four paes do_one_request callbacks (ecb, cbc, ctr, xts) by returning 0 after explicit finalization instead of propagating the error code.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Validate firmware log buffer metadata The tracing log headers parsed by fw_log_print_buffer() reside in DMA-shared BOs that the NPU firmware can write to. fw_log_from_bo() validated log->header_size and log->size, but fw_log_print_buffer() re-read those same fields from shared memory afterwards, allowing a TOCTOU where firmware changes them between the check and the use, and making the host dereference out-of-bounds addresses while printing logs. Snapshot the validated values once with READ_ONCE() and pass them down explicitly in a new struct ivpu_fw_log_desc instead of re-reading them from the shared struct.

It is not a problem for most users of vmalloc_to_page() (they solely own the vmalloc'd range) but, when CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_EXECMEM_ROX=y, various modules own a single execmem vmalloc range, and can call set_memory_*() in parallel on it. This can happen to race against __text_poke and cause havoc in vmalloc_to_page(). Fix it by excluding against CPA using the init_mm mmap read lock. [ dhansen: Fix up SoB ordering. CVE-2026-98116 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-25 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: Serialize PCM mmap with buffer reallocation to fix page UAF snd_pcm_hw_params() and snd_pcm_hw_free() guard buffer reallocation with an mmap_count check performed under the PCM stream lock, but the lock is released long before the buffer is actually freed: snd_pcm_sync_stop(), constraint refinement and do_free_pages() all happen in between. snd_pcm_mmap_data(), on the other hand, takes no lock at all: it validates against the old buffer's state and dma_bytes, remaps its pages into the VMA, and only then increments mmap_count. A concurrent mmap() can therefore slip in between the check and the free. remap_pfn_range() installs writable PTEs for the old buffer's pages without taking page references, and the subsequent do_free_pages() returns those pages to the page allocator while the VMA still maps them. This leaves a stale, writable mapping of freed pages: a page-level use-after-free that can be leveraged for local privilege escalation. Make snd_pcm_mmap_data() participate in the buffer-access scheme introduced for hw_params/hw_free: acquire runtime->buffer_accessing before validating and remapping, and release it afterwards. Buffer reallocation already fails with -EBUSY while accessors are active, and the mmap side now fails with -EBUSY while a reallocation is in progress, so the validate/remap sequence and the check/free sequence can no longer interleave. A reproducer that turns this race into a stale writable mapping of the freed DMA buffer pages is available on request.
