CVSS v3.1 |
| iControl is affected by a Broken Access Control vulnerability, which could allow an attacker to exploit missing authentication checks or insecure direct object references (IDOR), enabling privilege escalation and the unauthorized modification or deletion of sensitive application data. |
| Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key vulnerability in Metagauss ProfileGrid profilegrid-user-profiles-groups-and-communities allows Exploiting Incorrectly Configured Access Control Security Levels.This issue affects ProfileGrid: from n/a through 6.0.0.2. |
| pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.18.1, a crafted PDF can place unusually large source-code or destination-string tokens in a font /ToUnicode mapping, causing pypdf/_cmap.py parse_bfchar to decode and retain oversized values during operations such as text extraction and consume excessive memory. This is a second follow-up to earlier /ToUnicode resource-consumption fixes and is limited to the remaining token-length path. This issue is fixed in version 6.18.1. |
| An authenticated administrator could initiate an administrative import using a file whose contents were not fully verified, because the import validated only the file's header rather than the complete file. This could allow unverified or forged content to be accepted and processed, affecting the integrity of the imported data. |
| Imager versions before 1.037 for Perl overflow a heap buffer fetching float samples from a paletted image in i_gsampf_fp.
For a paletted image, getsamples() with type "float" allocates a buffer of one sample per pixel and fetches every requested channel of each pixel into it. Requesting more than one channel writes past its end.
An attacker-supplied image controls the overflowing bytes through its palette. |
| Imager versions before 1.037 for Perl exit the process reading a raw image with an out-of-range raw_datachannels value in i_readraw_wiol.
Nothing range-checks raw_datachannels. The line buffer is sized as the image width times the channel count with no overflow check, so a negative or very large count requests an excessive allocation. When it fails, Imager's allocator calls exit(3).
Passing an untrusted raw_datachannels value to Imager->read() triggers an uncatchable exit. |
| Ghost versions from 0.5.3 through versions prior to 6.50.0 fail to sanitize the data placed in the JSON-LD HTML tag emitted by the {{ghost_head}} helper. An authenticated user with limited privileges can inject unescaped content that is rendered as script in the published page, potentially leading to compromise of a staff user's admin session when that user views the affected page. |
| this is rejected |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Local Security Authority Server (lsasrv) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Use after free in Graphic Fonts allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Use after free in Active Directory Domain Services allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/rds: Don't sleep inside rds_ib_conn_path_shutdown
New rds rdma self tests exposed a hang when tearing down
the ib network configs. This is caused by the shutdown worker
thread sleeping on the wait_event call, which blocks other work
items in the queue. Fix this by changing wait_event to
wait_event timeout, and looping until the wait check succeeds. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: don't call ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure when not needed
In case reconfiguration of NAN fails, we call
ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure, that marks all interfaces as not in
the driver.
Then, at the error path of the reconfig, cfg80211_shutdown_all_interfaces
is called to destroy all the interfaces.
If we have any other interface but the NAN one, for example a BSS
station, then when its state (links, stations) will be removed, we
won't tell the driver about this, because we will think that the
interfaces are not in the driver, and then drivers might remain with
dangling pointers to objects like stations and links (at least for
iwlwifi this is the case).
ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is meant to be called after we cleaned
up the state in the driver, there is no reason to call it for NAN
reconfiguration failure.
Fix the code to just warn in such a case, as we do in other error paths
in reconfig where it is too complicated to rewind. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amdgpu: Bound GPIO I2C table entry count from VBIOS
Reject undersized tables and cap the derived entry count
to AMDGPU_MAX_I2C_BUS so we do not overrun adev->i2c_bus[]
or walk an absurd number of entries on corrupt size fields. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mac80211: avoid out-of-bounds access in monitor
In NAN, we don't know on what band the frame will be sent. Therefore we
set info->band to NUM_NL80211_BANDS. However, this leads to out-of-bound
access in ieee80211_add_tx_radiotap_header when we try to access the
sbands array.
Fix it by not accessing the array if the band is NUM_NL80211_BANDS.
This means that we will not report rate info for legacy rate in NAN.
But nobody really cares about it. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
x86/mm/pat: Acquire init_mm read lock on attribute changes to avoid UAF
A previous commit protected against races between ptdump and CPA collapse,
however one still exists between attribute changes and collapse as reported
by Denis V. Lunev (linked).
When an attribute change arises, a lockless page table walker obtains a PTE
entry, which is later written to via set_pte_atomic():
...
-> change_page_attr_set_clr()
-> __change_page_attr_set_clr()
-> __change_page_attr()
-> _lookup_address_cpa()
-> lookup_address_in_pgd_attr()
-> [ lockless page table walker ]
-> set_pte_atomic()
There is nothing preventing a concurrent CPA collapse which can free the
PTE that was retrieved here, resulting in a use-after-free.
With the mmap write lock taken on init_mm over CPA collapse, resolve this
race by acquiring an mmap read lock on init_mm over
__change_page_attr_set_clr().
This locks across the whole operation over which the walk and the PTE
entry write occurs, solving the race.
It is safe to do this here, as no spinlocks are held upon entry to
__change_page_attr_set_clr().
However, the lock must not be held over an allocation, as allocation can
trigger reclaim and shrinkers may call into CPA recursively, making
deadlocks possible (init_mm -> ... -> fs_reclaim -> init_mm).
A page table is allocated when a huge page needs to be split:
-> change_page_attr_set_clr()
-> __change_page_attr_set_clr()
-> __change_page_attr()
-> split_large_page()
[ pagetable_alloc() ]
-> __split_large_page()
Avoid deadlocks by dropping the mmap lock across pagetable_alloc() in
split_large_page() and track whether this is needed by adding a new
'init_mm_read_locked' flag to struct cpa_data.
This is safe as __split_large_page() (called with locks re-established)
revalidates that the page table entry is the same as it was prior to the
locks being dropped and __change_page_attr() repeats the entire page table
walk whenever a split occurs, so concurrent split and collapse are
accounted for.
Concurrent ptdump is also safe as the lock is only dropped over page table
allocation during which time the page table has not yet been modified.
The CPA_COLLAPSE flag is only set by set_memory_rox(), which exclusively
operates upon vmalloc ranges, and on x86 only within the module mapping
space.
This is important, because some callers directly invoke
__change_page_attr_set_clr(), bypassing this lock. However, none of these
operate within the module mapping space.
* cpa_process_alias() - a recursive helper called by
__change_page_attr_set_clr().
* __set_memory_enc_pgtable() - operates on the direct mapping and (via
__vmbus_establish_gpadl()) the vmalloc mapping space.
* __set_pages_[n]p() - called by set_direct_map_[invalid, default,
valid]_noflush(), __kernel_map_pages() - operates on the direct map.
* kernel_[un]map_pages_in_pgd() - operates on EFI ranges.
This work is based upon Denis V. Lunev's excellent analysis of the bug
with gratitude.
